Cherry Ripe

Well now I don't know what to expect from Cadbury's Cherry Ripe. It's a popular bar hailing from the down under. I'm not a fan of chocolate covered cherries, or the Bounty bar - and the Cherry Ripe is an infusion of both, should be fun
Opening the wrapper, right away the smell reminds me of dark chocolate covered cherries. A rippley dark chocolate shell enrobes cherry flavored coconut filling. I'm surprised it's good! It's the cherry factor that makes all the difference. You can taste the cherry from the coconut filling, and also from pieces of cherries that have been magically injected inside. Don't you just love the pink colored filling - I know I do!
When it comes to the name, I have no clue where the second half of it comes from - Cherry is a given, but Ripe.. hmm I don't know if the cherries were that ripe. At least it's not randomly named after someone (looking in your direction Mr Big... Mr Oh Henry..)
