Shrek the Third M&M's, Snickers

Effem released two bars in time for the release of Shrek 3.
The Ogre Sized Peanut Butter M&M's taste exactly like the regular peanut butter M&M's. I love those to begin with, plus these are swamp colored (light green, orange, brown) and ogre sized (more peanut butter/chooclate ratio) Ohh these are good - we have a winner!!

Then there is the Snickers with Green Shrek Filling. Could it be.. slime? I'm open tol new candy experiences, bring it on
Upon the first bite, I was hit with an overwhelming pungeunt odor. Looking down at the bar, surely enough, I see a florescent green filling oozing in place of the nougat. Chewing slowly, I let the moldy flavor, exactly how I thought slime would taste, spread across my tongue to the roof of my mouth. After swallowing, I was left with a lingering aftertaste of dirt - similar to dirt you ate as a kid...
Ok, I lied. I didn't eat dirt as a kid, so I'm oblivious to its taste. That, and the bar tasted no different than a regular Snickers. I couldn't discern any difference, regardless of how much I expected to taste pistacio... or mud... This Snickers variation has the same crunchy peanuts, chewy caramel, and soft (green) nougat - all after breaking through the milk chocolate coating. It was quite enjoyable actually. And more fun to eat than your regular, 3 shades-of-brown, chocolate bar.
I would keep a few of these around. If not just to eat while watching Shrek. Must sneak... Shrek3 Snickers... into theatre. And then we'll see if the green filling glows in the dark as well
